Hi Everyone,
This past year, philanthropy has opened my eyes to so much need and so much beauty. I have also realized how easy it is to help, and how rewarding it feels to be able to make a positive difference in someone's life.
Last week, my friend Carlos and I brought a video camera to Beyond Shelter. Just the two of us. There are 175 children with families here, most of whom have been homeless at some point.
Today, they play in a concrete courtyard. Because of the neighborhood they live in, they have nowhere else to play. I met a woman who has ten children living in a three-bedroom house. The Beyond Shelter rec room only allows ten kids at a time. I wish you could all go there with me and see.
I'd like to share with you a glimpse of these beautiful children through my eyes.

As a student who is gaining a childhood studies degree i see how important this help & donations is vital for the children of Beyond Shelter and all other children in need.
It is so important for a child to be brought up in the right conditions for them to fully develop socially and mentally.
As stated in the 1989 Childrens Act and the 1990 UN convention of rights for the child, Children are entitled to be safeguarded and have their developmental needs meet. They also state that the child's enviroment should be welcoming, safe & stimulating.
So please give the children what they need to survive and live a happy, safe and secure life.

Update on the text CHILD to 90999 camapign ..
Nicole was spotted as usual last week going to her regular traffic school class.
Apparently they were out test driving cars.
Also at the restaurant that evening was Mary-Kate Olsen and Jennifer Lopez. Recently Adam Goldstein became a fan of my Nicole Richie facebook group :)
Nicole had a quick outfit change before attending another fashion show yesterday.
I am loving Nicole's wet-look high waisted skirt. Nicole has been seen wearing alot of high waisted skirts recently. They are flattering for most shapes and sizes, which is a good thing!
But i don't think she has the trademark "posing with her starbucks coffee" down just yet ..
haha, she is so cute & i love the last picture. She looks so much like Joel!
They spent their night chatting with teenagers from Girls For a Change, which encourages girls to make a difference in their neighborhoods.
Nicole Richie was looking Au Natural and radiant as she was spotted leaving XIV Karats just yesterday. 
Mary-Kate Olsen, hanging alfresco at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. The starlet took a patio table with a male friend, laughing and enjoying her pal's company. Olsen, who sported her signature plaid, smoked several cigarettes while outside – then called it an early evening.
Also at the Chateau: Nicole Richie, who wandered the courtyard looking for her friends. The new mom whipped out her phone but noticed her party right away, and put away her cell. Meanwhile, Joel Madden was sitting at the table, wearing a baseball cap and eating. Richie, who arrived with another male friend, sat one seat away from her beau, and leaned in to chat with her friends at the circular table.
If this is true, then i guess it proves the Mary-Kate flirting with Joel rumour to be false!
