Whilst at the event Nicole revealed to Hello Giggles that day to day she does not wear foundation and her skin glow is thanks to French skincare brand Biologique Recherche.

Nicole Richie attends Crème de la Mer's 50 year anniversary celebrations

Nicole Richie attended the La Crème de la Crème of Parties for La Mer's celebration of an icon for their 50th anniversary (13th October) at Siren Studios in Los Angeles.

Crème de la Mer pulled out all of the stops for this big party. They even created a red carpet backdrop wall consisting of over many Creme de la Mer jars with a combined value of over 3 million dollars!

Nicole had a Creme de la Mer glow about her as she walked past the $3 million wall wearing a velvet jumpsuit and statement gold chocker necklace.

How To : Nicole Richie's braided top knot

Hey Nicole Richie News Readers! My name is Charlene and I run Richie Riches for Less, a blog I created back in 2010 on how to get Nicole Richie's looks for less. I always found myself constantly recreating Nicole's looks without having the heavy designer price tags. Nicole's style has always been inspirational to me from her edgy rock looks to those amazing bohemian looks. 

I was thrilled when Belinda asked me to do a guest post on her blog. Lately, Nicole has been spotted with various top knot dos. Today, I will be showing you how to recreate a top knot braid in a few simple steps. I love this hair style and how easy it can be worn for a causal day out or a special event. Nicole was spotted most recently at the FFANY event rocking this updo. 

The steps are super easy: 

Step 1) pull your hair into a high ponytail. 

Step 2) braid the loose hair (I like to flip my hair over to get the braid straight) I notice the tighter the braid the smaller the bun. So if you'd like a fuller bun, make your braid loose. 

Step 3) wrap the braid around the hair tie then secure the ends with bobby pins. I like to add a few additional bobby pins around the braid for extra security. 

Step 4) Finish! Then spray your braided bun with hairspray. I use Aussie instant freeze hairspray. To get ride of those pesky fly aways, I use suave Keratin Infusion Serum.

The secret to Richie’s signature morning-after-the-party look? Use a flatiron to create uneven waves, then scrunch with matte styling cream. “Curling irons make it a little bit too done,” says Richie.

Make a bold statement with a bright eyeliner.

Do two bobby pins with a side part to give your beach style a retro vibe. For deep waves that are soft and touchable, wind pieces of damp hair around your finger with styling cream and blow-dry.

For an effortlessly sexy poolside look, coax out texture with dry shampoo. Pin up hair haphazardly, and don’t fight flyaways—they make the look soft and flirty.

Nicole Richie’s hairstylist, Andy Lecompte, wound her hair in figure eights around pins to get this fluff. Tease for volume, and flat-iron the ends. Prep with a soft-hold gel.
