'We Are The World' -- The remake

There was an electric energy Monday night (February 1) at Henson Studios in Los Angeles as more than 80 of music's biggest stars gathered for a charity remake of "We Are The World" in support of Haitian earthquake relief.

Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and daughter Harlow also joined in with the remake of We Are The World. It really was a star studded event to name a few who was in attendance amongst the voices in the 81-member choir were Pink, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, LL Cool J, Robin Thicke, Celine Dion, Akon, Rob Thomas, Wyclef, Jeff Bridges, Vince Vaughn, Barbra Streisand, Jordin Sparks, Good Charlotte's Madden brothers, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Keri Hilson, Jamie Foxx, Tyrese, Katharine McPhee, Sean Garrett, Will.I.Am, Carlos Santana, Melanie Fiona, Enrique Iglesias, Toni Braxton, Jason Mraz, Miley Cyrus, Busta Rhymes, Nicole Scherzinger, Nicole Richie, Usher, Julianne Hough, Raphael Saadiq, Zac Brown, India.Arie, "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson, Fonzworth Bentley, Kid Cudi, Iyaz, Bizzy Bone, Nipsey Hussle, the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, Trey Songz, Faith Evans, Mya and Gladys Knight.
Nicole Richie took to Twitter on the evening of the recording and left these few tweets :-

'I was 4 years old in a studio watching my dad record We Are The World, & today I get to do it again. Excited to help make a change.'

'WOW. Brian Wilson stood next to me & I got to hear him sing right into my left ear. Can you say AWESOME!'

'I hope Jennifer Hudson wasn't upset that I was out singing her tonight.'

Joel Madden also took to Twitter and left some interesting tweets :-

'We are the world was great. Nice work Lionel, Quincy, and RedOne. Highlights: Kanye hanging with Harlow, and meeting Daft Punk.'

'More highlights: Carlos Santana and Brian wilson singing next to me. Among many many others. Everyone was really cool today.'

'Also @pink needs to watch out cause harlow was flirting with @hartluck she really warmed up to him. She was asking for him when we left.'

'Watched harlow flirt with Kanye, Cary Hart, Busta ryhmes, Sean garret, and the jonas brothers. Just like her mom, she plays hard to get.'

The world premiere of the song's video will air during NBC's coverage of the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Friday, February 12.
