The UNCF are honouring Lionel Richie with an star studded show dedicated to him and his music.
An evening of stars - tribute to Lionel Richie , will be honored by an all-star lineup of performers and presenters—names like Natalie Cole, Jesse McCartney, Ledisi, Akon, Chrisette Michele and Brian McKnight—paying tribute to Lionel by performing the songs he made famous.

Woven around the star-turned performances, UNCF ensures the message gets across—education is essential to success.
An Evening of Stars is a concert with a cause, and the cause is education.
Performers and presenters alike explain how important it is that every young person gets an education that starts in preschool and doesn’t end until college graduation. And they’ll pay tribute to the work of UNCF in making sure that our sons and daughters get the education they need to become our next generation of teachers, scientists, doctors and nurses—and leaders.
The show airs nationwide Jan. 23 and 24, 2010, to an audience of millions.
Nicole Richie also makes an appearance on the Lionel Richie tribute - an evening of stars show.

I am looking forward to watching this show, I just hope I can catch it here in the UK. Lionel Richie is such a nice man, he seems like the perfect Dad and Grandad aswell as being an awesome musician!

Inspiring but why can't Lionel fix the bad audio on the DVD "live in Paris" as many including me have tried to get replaced with a working version. This is a shame that we honor someone who has published an inferior product and has the talent and resource to repair and replace the defective product. Just look at the comments on Amazon or the publishers website and you will find many upset. Lionel please replace the defecitve DVD's we like your music and want to continue to support you.
