In Autumn of last year Nicole Richie was spotted wearing a fabulous pair of black velvet caged heels with a zip detail. The heels Nicole Richie wore are by Pierre Hardy.
When edgy punks stormed the catwalks for Autumn/Winter 08 there was one key feature on almost every piece, a zip. Nicole Richie and the rest of the A-list have embraced the look choosing zip details on everything from shoes to dresses. This is also going to be a key detail for A/W 09.
Although Nicole Richie's Pierre Hardy black velvet sandals are no longer available online, i have found some great alternatives.

Although these heels below do not look a like to Nicole Richie's Pierre Hardy heels i thought i would share them because of their fabulous zip detail and i just love the style of these heels..
