You have a perfect complexion! Do you have a daily skin care regime, if so what is it & what products do you use?
I use Dove soap. Every time I start using too much product, I break out. So I keep it simple.

What is your favourite past time when you aren’t with your children?
Dressing up & going out to a nice dinner. I will go with my friends & sit for hours.

Do you have any plans to visit the UK ? – You have so many fans here.
I will be in the UK in the spring when Winter Kate launches.

If you didn't have the career which you do have what would you like to be?
I would be a dancer. Or a hair stylist

I go to Australia all the time. I love it & hope to visit soon. I hope to go in the Winter while its Summer over there

I have no immediate plans to launch a fragrance, but I never say never.

If you could choose one piece what is your favourite House of Harlow 1960 item?
My favorite pieces are the headpieces. I wear them all the time.

What are you most looking forward to in the future?
I truly look forward to everything. Every morning I wake up excited about what the day will bring.

Would you ever consider taking up figure skating again?
I love skating, I wish that I did it more often. I try & go as much as I can.

Where would you love to visit where you haven’t already been to?
My dream is to go to Africa & India. Its not in the cards for me any time soon, but I would love to go!!

Any plans for a new tattoo(s)?
I started getting tattoos at 14. Its so silly really, I wouldnt get any more; maybe cover the 1s I have.

Question from Andy LeCompte (Nicole's hair stylist) How much do you loveee Taco Bell?
Note to everyone: NEVER EVER go to taco bell with any lecompte. Just stick to getting blowdrys.

Did you have any odd pregnancy cravings?
When i was pregnant with sparrow, I loved the taste of my facial scrub.

Here is a sneak peek of a few of the shoes in Nicole Richie's 20 piece shoe collection.

The super-stylish collection of embroidered heels, cut-out booties, wedges, moccasins and sandals is set for release in January, I can't wait to get my hands on a pair!

‘Fashion should be accessible,' says Nicole. ‘That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960, and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.'

‘I started working on this collection in early 2009,' she continues. ‘The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun.'

Earlier this week (24th October) Nicole Richie was spotted at the Pumpkin Patch in Los Angeles with Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow.

Nicole Richie's 2009 Halloween plans

Nicole Richie has revealed she will be dressing as The White Rabbit from the classic story Alice In Wonderland this Halloween and she envisioned dressing Harlow in something Alice in Wonderland-esque but Harlow Madden has other ideas. Nicole Richie fallen angel Halloween 2004.

“I wanted Harlow to be something from Alice in Wonderland, but she really wants to be Tinkerbell,” Nicole, 28, tells Extra.

Fortunately, her struggle with Harlow is easily balanced out by the family's newest member Sparrow James Midnight Madden. “I will wrap him up in toilet paper and make him a little mummy. He doesn’t care.”

And while Joel Madden is scheduled to be in Australia for work commitments during the fun-filled night, that hasn’t stopped him from planning the perfect costumes for all — an idea that was quickly turned down by Nicole!
“I had an idea that I would be the beekeeper and they could be the bees,” he says. “But that didn’t appeal to Nicole too much.”

Sounds like Halloween is going to be fun in the Richie Madden househould.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden attend The March of Dimes Stork Club Tea

On October 21st Nicole Richie and Joel Madden attended The March of Dimes Stork Club Tea sponsored by Stride Rite. The event was held in Beverly Hills.

The purpose of the Tea was to gather everyone together in preparation for the 4th annual Celebration of Babies, hosted by the March of Dimes, to recognize prominent individuals who are celebrating the birth of their children and who are role models for March of Dimes commitment to love and hope for healthy babies.

The event held one key message - 'That Every Baby Be Given A Healthy Start.'

Kendra Wilkinson: 'Nicole Richie is my Mommy Idol.'

Mom to be Kendra Wilkinson chats about Nicole Richie being her role model. Kendra says she looks up to Nicole Richie as a mommy role model because Nicole went through a lot of similar things that Kendra did. She says, "I look up to Nicole... She is the girl that I mostly look up to because she is more like me. She gives me the feeling of, ‘She did it and I can do it.' She makes me feel good about what she's accomplished."

Kendra continues "She went through the same stages in life that I went through. Drugs, alcohol, all of that... It just makes me feel so good to see her go through that and then have two kids and be such a great mom."

It is great to see that Kendra looks up to Nicole Richie for Mommy inspiration, Nicole is a perfect Mother and it is good that other people in the public eye recognise that too.

The former Girls Next Door star is due to have her first baby with husband Hank Baskett in December.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden open The Richie-Madden Children's Playground

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been running a text campain Text 'Child' to 90999 as part of their Richie-Madden children's foundation.

The text campain hoped to raise $35,000 to build a playground for the children at the Beyond Shelter. Nicole Richie revealed through Twitter that the playground has now been built, Nicole wrote "Just left Beyond Shelter. It felt great to be back. The playground has happened thanx to all of you who helped!"

Yesterday (October 22nd) Nicole Richie and Joel Madden spoke to a small crowd inside the Karsten Neighborhood Resource Center at a ceremony to open the Richie-Madden Children's Playground.
This new playground gives the children of these families a green space to play in a safe and protected environment.

Nicole Richie also tweeted "THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Text CHILD campaign. We are giving these children a chance to have an imagination & be free."




I'm so happy they raised the funds for The Richie-Madden Children's playground and the Children now have somewhere safe to play.

News on the 'Winter Kate' clothing collection by Nicole Richie

WWD caught up with Nicole Richie to chat about her fashion line.

Nicole Richie has a new contemporary women’s clothing line. The label, Winter Kate, which will debut in spring, expands a fashion business that already includes the accessories line House of Harlow 1960 and a maternity collection, Nicole for A Pea in the Pod.

The 37-piece Winter Kate line, which takes her daughter Harlow’s two middle names, will hit stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Ron Herman, Intermix and Kitson, beginning in February. A Winter Kate jacket layered over a camisole and vest.

“It feels as though I’ve always been working on this collection, but officially I started putting it together in early 2009,” said Richie, who is lying low at home after the birth last month of her son, Sparrow. “I’ve wanted to design a clothing collection for a very long time.”

Richie, who has become known for her eclectic bohemian style with a Sixties and Seventies flair, said she has torn fashion pages out of magazines for years and also draws inspiration from her favorite animals, including peacocks and other birds.

The line includes mostly tops, vests and bed jackets in colorful vintage-inspired silk, crepe and chiffon because these tops are a mainstay of Richie’s own wardrobe.

“I probably wear the same two pairs of jeans every day as the background to a fabulous top,” she said. “Bed jackets are a staple of my wardrobe because they are a gorgeous way to give jeans and a white T-shirt a completely different look.”

Also key for spring dressing are “definitely a beautiful, fun slip dress in a great print and also a leather jacket to turn the romantic day dress into an edgy night-out outfit,” Richie said.

Her collection includes long slip dresses, asymmetrical short dresses, tunics and a kimono-sleeved, maxidress, which are meant to be layered with vests in cotton macramé, suede or silk, or a shrunken leather jacket.

“I purposely made the slip dresses in both solids and prints,” Richie said. “Wear the prints by themselves or with a great vest or jacket and wear the solids as basics to an outfit with many layers.”

Priced from $35 wholesale for a camisole to $110 for a long kimono dress, and as much as $598 for the leather pieces, the line is positioned similarly to her accessory collection, which now includes shoes for spring.

“Fashion should be accessible,” Richie said. “That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960 and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.”

Both lines, she noted, are aimed at the same customer. “She is a woman like me: She does not look at labels; she knows how to mix and match. The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun.”

SPOTTED: Nicole Richie and Joel Madden out & about in Hollywood

Nicole Richie and her beau Joel Madden where spotted out and about on the 17th October grabbing a drink and taking a stroll in Hollywood. I wonder if Nicole was drinking her favourite "1 vanilla latte and 1 pure vanilla blended together."
Nicole Richie wore a stunning flowing two tone purple dress, green cardigan and a gorgeous pair of peep toe Louboutin's. Nicole accessoried with layered rosary bead necklaces and a pair of aviators.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden attend the Noble Humanitarian Awards

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden attended the 1st Annual Noble Humanitarian Awards on Sunday (October 18) in Beverly Hills.

Joel Madden won an award for his work with the Art of Elysium, the award was presented to Joel by Nicole and her Father Lionel Richie.

Benji Madden also attended the Noble Awards event.
Nicole Richie took to Twitter to show her pride in Joel winning the award:
"Congratulations @joelmadden who got a philanthropic award at the Noble Awards tonight. His work is genuine, inspiring, & admirable."

Joel being a modest man spoke on the night about winning the award:
"They are just as much a part of it, - Nicole does just as much as I do with Art of Elysium and all the charities we work with. And so does [my twin brother Benji]. He actually does more then I do, and he plays the guitar better then I do, so he is a little more entertaining for the kids.”

OK! Magazine also got to chat to Joel on the night of winning the award.
When asked about the best gift he had ever received, Joel said: “A baby!”

He also told OK! that Sparrow is just your typical newborn.
The proud father joked: “He’s good… He’s one month and he does what one-month-olds do. So go to an Internet Web site and look up what one-month-olds do and fill in the blanks.”

So far, there is no older sibling jealousy from 19-month-old daughter Harlow,
Joel explained: “She’s great. She loves it. She’s really easy.”

Nicole Richie was looking as fabulous as ever & i am loving her slightly darker blonde hair.
On the evening of the Noble Awards, Nicole Richie wore a stunning gold dress by Jasmine Di Milo - Spring 2007 collection.
Nicole Richie also wore a pair of cork Christian Louboutin very Prive peep toe heels.
